Abstract

In the year 2012 a total of 196.641 patients were treated at the Carlos Andrade Marin Hospital (HCAM) Emergency Service, 50 percent of the patients complained of pain. The objective of this
study was to assess the efficacy of the pain medication ketorolac (30 mg sublingual) for acute pain management and to verify if this type route accelerates pain control.
