Resumen

El síndrome de daño de la mucosa relacionada con el estrés (SDMRE), es el término usado para describir, el fenómeno que causa la lesión a nivel del revestimiento del estómago y duodeno, en condiciones de estrés fisiológico. A través de un análisis observacional se reconoce que el uso de profilaxis es amplio y está presente en todos los pacientes tanto en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos como fuera de ella, por ello nosotros presentamos una revisión, sobre profilaxis de úlceras de
estrés y cuáles son los pacientes que se benefician de su uso, en el escenario de los cuidados intensivos, basados en la evidencia actual.
