This is an transversal retrospective descriptive study, we analyze the prequirurgic epidemiologic characteristics and a year satisfaction of patients with hiperhydrosis hat have been operated of thoracoscopic bilateral sympatectomy.
It took into account 41 patients operated in 2011, is predominantly female with 58.5%, men seeking help 2.8 years later than women and in 78% the hyperhidrosis committed armpits, thoracoscopy proceeded to supine with mean operative time of 78 minutes, in less than 5% was reported intraoperative complications, similar to other data centers. Adverse effects in the postoperative period occurred less frequently than expected according to other series, almost 25% less in some cases.
All patients reported satisfaction. This makes the procedure efficient, safe and fast at the time being the treatment of choice for severe hyperhidrosis
