INTRODUCTION. Myiasis is a parasitosis caused by fly larvae. Clinical manifestations depend on the initial site of infection. The larvae have a predilection for the nasal cavities because of their easy accessibility, ample space, and insensitive mucosal areas. CLINICAL CASES. Two cases of adult male patients with specific risk factors are described; clinically, larvae outgrowth through the nostrils was identified; one patient
was associated with nasal lymphoma. They were managed with systemic and topical antiparasitics, antibiotic therapy and 100% of larvae were removed endoscopically. CONCLUSIONS. The management used was as indicated by the literature; underlying nasal tumors should be considered, the topical route of ivermectin was
novel, however, more studies should corroborate its effectiveness.
