QUALITY OF THE COVID-19 VACCINATION SERVICE IN OLDER ADULTS AT HIGH RISK OF SARS-CoV2.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION: Quality of care in the PADOMI Home Care Program vaccination program in the context of the National COVID-19 Vaccination Plan in Peru as part of the vaccination process for older adults with chronic conditions. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the quality of COVID-19 vaccination service from the MODIFIED SERVQUAL survey in older adults at high risk of SARS-CoV-2. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Cross-sectional descriptive correlational observational study, carried out at the Félix Torre Alva Gutiérrez Hospital -ESSALUD Ica-Perú, in 2022. The sample was made up of 64 people from 700 older adults affiliated with the health program, that the anti-COVID-19 vaccine was administered.  To evaluate the quality of care, the MODIFIED SERVQUAL survey was used, which was distributed over 02 months through simple random sampling. The data were analyzed using SPSS.RESULTS: Women constituted 75% of the participants in this study. A good perception of the quality of the COVID-19 vaccination service was observed in the reliability dimension with 51.56%, followed by 50% in the response capacity dimension, highlighting a very good perception of the quality of the PADOMI staff in the COVID-19 vaccination service in the safety dimension and tangible aspects with 50% and 48.44% in the empathy dimension. CONCLUSION: The participants in this study showed a positive acceptance of the COVID-19 vaccination service provided by PADOMI staff, which provides its members with quality care and fosters empathy, care, and personal well-being among healthcare personnel in the workplace.
